Cooperation agreement between Calbaq and the Diakonia Food Bank

In order to combat hunger and malnutrition, in addition to protecting the environment, Calbaq has signed a cooperation agreement with Diakonia Food Bank (a religious organization).

This agreement was signed on Friday, March 24 at the company’s premises with the presence of Monsignor Luis Cabrera and other authorities of the Archdiocese and the Food Bank.
Thanks to this agreement, the project ‘Ponte Pilas con Diakonia Food Bank y Duracell’ was created, where Calbaq agreed to donate an approximate value of $426,000 in AA x2, D2 x2 batteries and $12,000 for a year.

The donation of batteries is meant for schools in the Archdiocese and agencies benefited from the Food Bank, an institution that was born six years ago and first spawned popular areas of Guayaquil, according to their representatives. After the earthquake of April 2016, aid was extended to affected cities in Manabi.

In addition, the collaborators of Calbaq received the blessing of Monsignor Luis Cabrera.
