The company was established in the year 1972, with the purpose of manufacturing personal care products, under the brands: A-1, Shantal and Acción 24.
In the year 1980 Calbaq creates Tip*s as a brand. Initially by manufacturing and selling Tip*s air deodorizers in tablet form, a product which is a market leader in it’s category.
Today, Tip*s has a wide variety of products in the market, such as: liquid desinfectant, pastilla germicida, pastilla tanque, glass cleaner, dish washing soap, limpiador en polvo, aerosol air freshener, phone clearing aerosol and toilet bowl cleaner.
Around the year 1994 Calbaq began its importing activities. It distributes today in Ecuador quality products such as Clorox, Bon Bril, Xtra, 1-2-3, Kiwi, Plusbelle, Playtex, Wet Ones, Banana Boat, Elite, Wrigley’s and Orbit.
In the year 2003 Calbaq S.A. was awarded by Guayaquil’s Chamber of industries, a well-earned recognition for its excellence in the everyday practices over the past three decades since it began doing business.
In the year 2004, Calbaq S.A. was certified under ISO 9001-2000 for quality control and practices, proving once again the pursue of its core objective which is satisfying the needs of its customers. |  |
